Public Transit and Transportation

I believe that with the ever-increasing price of oil we need to do much, much more to provide better transportation alternatives in Surrey, especially with regard to public transit. I'm concerned about: putting Rapid Bus Transit over the Port Mann Bridge; reviving the Interurban passenger-rail Line; bringing 24-hour Skytrain service to Surrey; safety and fare issues on public transit; and rebuilding the Pattullo Bridge. Smart Growth

People want to see compact, walkable neighbourhoods and communities in Surrey that support better transit service in Surrey and that encourage a healthy citizenry. Wards

The current at-large structure of our municipal government leaves us without neighbourhood representation at the City Council level, and without any real sense of accountability for Councillors. I am a strong supporter of reinstating a mixed-wards system in Surrey. Click here to read more...

Affordable Housing

We're facing a regional affordable housing crisis in Metro Vancouver, and we need to do more in Surrey to ensure that those people, young and old, who have always called Surrey 'home' can continue to afford to live here. We also need to tackle the issue of homelessness in our city. Click here to read more...

The Beaver Issue

The city needs to change its policy towards bothersome beavers that cause flooding in residential areas as soon as possible. We should be living in harmony with animals and their natural habitats. Click here to read more...
